Tom has spent a lifetime involved in sports, entertainment, and business matters. He currently is Founder, President & CEO of BSIX CORP and is a majority owner of Velocity Sports & Entertainment Development Group and the Odyssey Sports & Wellness "Brand". He is an adjunct member of the prestigious Round Table Group based in Washington DC as an expert in his field. Tom served as coach on the floor at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, World Championships, Paris, 1992 and coached several athletes to the National Team. His first student, Mike Inglis achieved a ranking of 5th in the World in Men's Gymnastics at the Indianapolis World Gymnastics Championships in 1991. Mike was one of only two North American male gymnasts to make finals; the other was American, Scott Keswick.
Tom created the concept of after sport experience through his company ACROSTAR. After sport experience enables athletes to continually leverage the skills they worked a lifetime to achieve. His company has produced and managed shows in the United States, England, Australia, and Canada. Tom began the Sports Village Concept and many other creative endeavours after leaving The University of Toronto where he served as Varsity Coach for Men's Gymnastics.
Tom was voted Coach of the Year in 1987, by the Canadian Inter University Athletic Union (CIAU) and has won numerous national achievement awards. The Sports Village Project is Tom's clear vision of how sport should be intertwined with a way of life and social interaction.
Tom is passionate about sport, and served as Executive Producer for The Extreme World Cup, part of the Cafe' de Colombia World Cup of Water Skiing, televised in both Canada and USA. Tom created live entertainment show product (Sport based stunt shows) for LEGOLAND Windsor (England), Australia's Wonderland (Australia), LEGOLAND California (USA), Canada's Wonderland (Canada), Hanna Barbera Land (Texas, USA) and numerous smaller amusement parks like Miami SeaQuarium (USA), The Canadian National Exhibition (Canada), and Thorpe Park (England). Many still showcase Tom's creations.
Tom served as consultant for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines on their "Project Genesis" now called Oasis at Sea, the world's largest cruise ship setting sail in December of 2009. Tom served as a creative and technical source in planning the entertainment component for a major attraction on Oasis at Sea and the "AQUA THEATER". This attraction will be a "World First", and is likely to become the mainstay of entertainment aboard this class of ships now in construction.
Tom attended Northern Michigan University (NMU) in Marquette on a full athletic scholarship, University of Windsor, and York University where his gymnastics team won many National Titles. Tom served as Varsity Coach for University of Toronto in the mid to late 80's.
Tom is currently Producing, Directing and managing the new "Pirates Unleashed" live action show for Sea World of Australia through his family holding company BSIX CORP and BSIX PRODUCTIONS INC.
